We all have a story. A story of how we got to the place we are. Sometimes, sharing that testimony is what inspires someone else to make a better choice. For some of us, the road behind us may have been painful, full of potholes and dead ends that left us bewildered and confused. For others, it’s been smoother, yet everyone has their trials. That’s life.
Everything that you’ve been through, has helped shape you into the person you are. I don’t care how old you are, you are a human, living life in the way that you are. You do have a story.
Recently, I visited the church of some of my relatives. One of the key things that the pastor talked about was that we all have trials. But we have the choice to come out bitter, or better. It’s the same word except for one letter, and yet, that one letter makes a huge difference in the outcome! Those trials are there to mature us; to test our faith. You can make the decision to trust God and come out better! It’s your choice. Your story isn’t completely finished until you take your last breath.
Don’t be afraid to share your story with others (even if it’s “unfinished” 🙂 ). We all only have one life, and we’re all “working on our own stories”. We can’t all experience what you have gone through, but we can learn from you.
Recently, I shared part of my own testimony. The Lord has done so much in my life in these last several months. Yet I feel a strong prompting to share my whole story; the full version. Currently, it freaks me out to share the whole thing, I mean, it makes me feel very vulnerable, but I know I need to share it at some point. I’ll probably share it sometime in the near future. 🙂
Until then, many blessings to all of you, my dear readers as you think about (and hopefully share!) your own story.
