While today was supposed to be scheduled for another How to Draw episode, I thought it would be fun to interrupt with a sneak peak into what life looks like through my eyes and a “Quote of the Day”!
In addition to being a blogger, artist, singer/songwriter/composer/pianist, and the occasional dabbling with photography, I’m also a farm girl. Yes, I was born and raised on an organic pastured chicken farm. Quite the adventure! Like yesterday morning when I was milking the family cow, and she knocked the milker over and milk started spewing everywhere! 😛 Which brings us to the profound “Quote of the Day” that came to me after this particular incidence. 🙂
I’ve selected 10 semi random photos to share with ya’ll. A picture is worth a thousand words, right?!
This sketch was so much fun! I woke one morning with these eyes in my head (not my own!) and just had to draw them. I later finished the rest of the face.
My kitten, Princess, enjoying some yummy munchies! She’s six months old. My brothers complain that she doesn’t want to be petted, but really, she’s just a very personal cat that definitely prefers me over anyone else! 😉
I found this amazing tea at Target whilst Christmas shopping. I happen to be quite the tea lover AND, I am also in twelfth grade, so this is the perfect boost for my morning study brain. On each tea bag’s tag is an awesome quote (doesn’t it just keep getting better?! 😉 ).
Speaking of Christmas… (!!) I had such fun decorating in my room. 🙂 That quote (“Sing as though no one can hear you.”) which I found in Lancaster, Pa is something I and my somewhat shy self have to work on a lot more!
The LoveNotes Studio of Fine Arts. I know, I know, way too fancy a name for such a little place! Built out of trees that were cut down along the road by the trimming crew several years back, this is where I do a lot of artwork.
Remember that cow I mentioned earlier? Well, she’s not nearly all bad, in fact she’s kind of sweet and gave birth to my little buddy, Sugar, pictured below.
This picture just does something to the country girl in me. 🙂
So there’s an adventure into a “normal” day in my life. Ya’ll have a blessed joy filled week till Christmas!
