Hey y’all! I’m back after way too long. I’ve missed talking to you guys. This summer has been crazy but I’m finally learning how to bring some sort of balance to the craziness and squeeze in some time to chat with y’all. I finished school and started working full time. Probably enough explanation. I suppose it’s something a lot of high school grads have to figure out when they enter the workforce. 🙂
Today is kinda different cause I really wanted to write a note to my younger self. If you have a younger person(s) in your life (which I’m sure you do), make sure to take a minute to encourage them, inspire them, tell them the truth about themselves. You don’t know how much that can impact a young mind – world changing!
**Above: one of my senior pictures. That’s the girl who’s talking. **
I finally got to tell the younger me what I always wished someone would have. Writing it all down was somehow incredibly healing. Almost like I was able to go back in time and give that girl the advice and encouragement she really really wanted. It meant so much to be able to be that person. Yeah, it sounds weird, but that’s okay. 😀 Continue reading “Dear Younger Self – A Letter to the Girl I Used to be”
Hey ya’ll! It’s time for the June Quote Up! post. I think we got some awesome ones in here (I mean, aren’t they every time? 😉 ). A very common theme around here is inspiration and motivation. We need it. It’s not possible to live off of your own mind’s excitement forever. That’s why I’ve scraped this collection of quotes to help you wake up, smile, and step forward with confidence every day.
Comm’on, let’s check ’em out! 🙂

Hey y’all! Summer is just almost here. Can you believe it? Ha ha, maybe it feels like it’s already been here for a while! 😉
I just love when it’s warm outside – so inspiring and amazing. Anyway, I wrote down a fun bucket list for this summer. I made it my own, but you can easily add more if you want to make it your own! Style like you.
There are a lot of super fun ideas as well as things that I’m completely serious need to get done! 😀 Such as, my office/desk area are so in need of help (hint: if y’all have any ideas for me, I would be sooo happy if you shared them with me). Continue reading “The Ultimate Summer Bucket List”
Who likes to live burned out and exhausted? Yeah, I didn’t think anyone did. 😉 Maybe you always feel the need to hurry or you can never get everything done. Sound familiar? Then these tips should help you out!
1. Wake Up Earlier
This has had an amazing impact on my own life. Having an extra half hour or hour in the morning will allow you to feel like you are in control your day rather than your day controlling you.
Make sure you are still getting seven to eight hours of sleep every night. You may need to adjust a little and go to bed earlier too (It isn’t as hard as you think!).
2. Take ten minutes to relax/reflect/pray
Put away your phone or computer or whatever your mind is on, and make the time to totally chill out for ten minutes. This is a great thing to do early in your morning. Refresh you mind and inner self, and you’ll find your brain and body much more inspired, refreshed, and equipped for the great day ahead. Hey ladies! It seems that we are always on the look out for quick easy ways to get trimmer and healthier. I’m not a feminist, but I do think that we tend towards eating healthy more than guys – just sayin’ 😉 (Let me clarify that I’m aware of the many male health and fitness gurus out there…) Whether you’re looking for a slimmer waist line, toned muscle, or having better overall health, hopefully these tips will help you out.
I don’t care what you stick in your mouth, if you are sitting around on your couch 24/7 you will have a very difficult time trying to slim down. Even light exercise will go a long way. Try taking a walk several times a week. If you’re ambitious, gradually transition into a short run at least 2-3x a week.
Other exercises are great and you can do many right in your own home with no equipment. Crunches, squats, and planks, are all ones that I love and definitely work for me. Listen to your body and figure out what works best for you (I think this will be a recurring theme in this post 😉 ). Create a simple routine and stick to it. Don’t build too high goals and expectations from the start or you will quickly burn out. Go slow and steady. Continue reading “Easy Ways to Improve Feminine Health”
Handwritten quotes are becoming so popular. There are so many on Pinterest that it’s almost dizzying! It’s no surprise as they are so cute as wall decor, in bullet journals, phone and desktop walls, etc. I’m addicted to the trend too. That’s why I just had to write down these quotes that go through my head in a trendy kind of way. I’m excited to share them with you! Even so, please have grace, I’m quite new to the cool handwriting trend. 😉
I almost never bullet journal (definitely something on my list of goals for someday… ), but occasionally I get a flash of inspiration. I love those moments. Isn’t it amazing what a bit of spare time can do to an ordinary piece of paper? 😉 Continue reading “May Adventure: Handwriting”
We all know those days that seems to drag along and by 5pm we realize accomplished nothing at all. Yeah, those are the most inspired days of our lives (Ha ha! 🙂 ). Accomplishing goals, keeping calm, and staying inspired all at the same time can seem to be the farthest thing from our grasp. No worries! I got your back with a list of easy things that will help you stay motivated with your eyes focused on the important things. Don’t try to do everything at once. One step at a time, one day at a time, one amazing goal at a time. It simplifies everything!
Some of these take more time, some take less time. Do whatever best fits into your schedule. Remember, if you don’t think you have time to get motivated, then you’ll waste twice as much time wishing you had. 😉 Let’s get on with the hacks! Continue reading “20 Easy Motivational Hacks”
So I’ve been
not so very consistently posting a “Quote of the Week” post every Saturday. Let’s be honest, I don’t particularly like posting on Saturday, even though Saturday is supposed to be an awesome blogging day (I mean, the whole day is free, right? 😉 ). So in retrospect of it all, I decided to do a Quote Up! post every now and again to empower ya’ll in one bigger post rather a weekly one – sound good? Tell me your opinion in the comments!
I’m excited to share these quotes with you. They have been an incredible inspiration to me and I am confident they will be for you too. 🙂
Sometimes it’s so easy to begin to overthink everything and become confused, anxious, and wish the life we live would just be somehow better. It’s time to refocus and accept the fresh start that is right in front of us each new day. Continue reading “Quote Up!”
Going to see the cherry blossoms in DC this year, was an awesome experience. The Sunday afternoon that we were there, the tidal basin was lined with thousands of people taking pictures, walking, smiling, and enjoying gorgeous weather. Yes, it was a little windy (not a very nice thing when you want the blossoms to be still so you can photograph them!), but everything considered, the weather was beautiful and the blossoms at their peak.
Sometimes it’s the simple things in life, like staring at millions of small flowers, that bring the most blessed beauty (#itsthesimplethings).
Parking was most certainly an issue! We drove around (…and around and around!) through the streets trying find a place to park. We ended up about three-quarters of a mile away. The picture above was taken on the way to the tidal basin. And just in case you’re wondering, those aren’t cherry blossoms – it’s a magnolia tree. 😉 Continue reading “Washington Cherry Blossom Digitals”
Being in need of fresh inspiration is no new problem. Quiet time in the word with Jesus can be such an incredible time. Yet, every once in a while (and a few times in between! 😉 ), thoughts and emotions become too overwhelming or simply more appealing than concentrating on what you’re reading. We all know that moment when we suddenly realize we have no idea what we just read (#allthetime).
I’ve pulled together some amazing verses for you to help you refocus your mind, rejuvenate your soul, and empower you for your day. Don’t forget that prayer is also a powerful thing. It’s not just talking; it’s conversing with God! How beautiful is that? 🙂 Continue reading “20 Empowering Verses for Your Quiet Time”
