It’s time for another Quote Up! I love Thanksgiving so much. It is a time of year when everyone (hopefully) sets aside a little more time than normal to think about be grateful. It is also marks the beginning of the holiday season, which to me is one of the most beautiful times of the entire year.
So I’m hailing this new season with a few amazing quotes to inspire you every day! Take a moment to think about each of them. Skimming over something potentially mind changing is only a waste of time! 😉
“Be thankful for what you have; you’ll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don’t have, you will never, ever have enough.” – Oprah Winfrey
“Give thanks for each new morning with its light, for rest and shelter of the night, for health and food, for love and friends, for everything Thy goodness sends.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson
“In happy moments, praise God. In difficult moments, seek God. In quiet moments, trust God. In every moment, thank God.” Continue reading “Quote Up! | Fall Edition”
It’s been November for exactly one week. I’m currently loving the fall colors, even with all the recent downpours trying to wash them away! October was a great month with a much needed slightly slower pace. I didn’t blog as much as anticipated, but I feel much of the content wasn’t ready yet and I had to learn to be okay with that. As a fact, I’m still working hard to get a few things (including some pretty cool freebies) ready for y’all. And today is #ThrowbackThursday! How appropriate.
Maybe this month can be your chill month! Don’t over-think things, and spend more time with Jesus. I promise that’s going to make a huge difference.
Devotional journaling is a great way to express what you’re feeling, write down thoughts, prayers, favorite or impact-ful scripture, ideas, and all kinds of other things. I like to use my journal as a space where I can put down anything.
In my previous devotional journals, I wrote a lot of scripture and little thoughts I had about them. But I rarely pick them back up and read them. Why? Because they’re so bland and boring. Not that the content is particularly bland and boring, but each page looks exactly the same. Nothing stands out. I used the same blank ink, the same handwriting, and wrote everything in the same style paragraphs. Continue reading “Devotional Journaling | #Inktober Throwback”
Hey ya’ll! It’s time for the June Quote Up! post. I think we got some awesome ones in here (I mean, aren’t they every time? 😉 ). A very common theme around here is inspiration and motivation. We need it. It’s not possible to live off of your own mind’s excitement forever. That’s why I’ve scraped this collection of quotes to help you wake up, smile, and step forward with confidence every day.
Comm’on, let’s check ’em out! 🙂
“We learn by practice. Whether it means to learn to dance by practicing dancing or to learn to live by practicing living, the principles are the same.”
– Martha Graham – Continue reading “Quote Up!”
So I’ve been
not so very consistently posting a “Quote of the Week” post every Saturday. Let’s be honest, I don’t particularly like posting on Saturday, even though Saturday is supposed to be an awesome blogging day (I mean, the whole day is free, right? 😉 ). So in retrospect of it all, I decided to do a Quote Up! post every now and again to empower ya’ll in one bigger post rather a weekly one – sound good? Tell me your opinion in the comments!
I’m excited to share these quotes with you. They have been an incredible inspiration to me and I am confident they will be for you too. 🙂
Sometimes it’s so easy to begin to overthink everything and become confused, anxious, and wish the life we live would just be somehow better. It’s time to refocus and accept the fresh start that is right in front of us each new day. Continue reading “Quote Up!”
Hey ya’ll! Here I am back from a little blogging break. I wasn’t planning to stay away forever in case you were starting to worry! 😉 Blogging actually takes a surprising amount of brain energy. But I say it’s totally worth if I can help ya’ll live better and more beautiful lives… and now I’m back quite prepared, refreshed, and energized. We have to take care ourselves in order to help others. It’s important.
Sooo… Quote of the Week, here we are again! Even better, we have two quotes for this week which are quite related. Need inspiration to get off your lazy bum and just do it? Read on! 😀
I can’t agree more! Actually, that’s why I’m back. We can’t always wait around for that “perfect” moment. Sometimes Jesus has to give me a little nudge (ahem – okay, maybe more than a little… 😉 ). Don’t let that little blue underlined word in the quote below hold you back. Stick it under your chair and leave it there! Continue reading “Quote of the Week | #4 & #5”
Hmm… how many times do we catch ourselves being grumpy because someone else is grumpy? Uh-huh, thought so. Now let’s switch that around. How many times do you smile when you see someone else smile? It works both ways! They’re both very contagious – just saying. 🙂
(Did you just smile? 😉 )
What are the things you do to change your corner of the world (even the small things are big enough!)?
I’d dare say that the implications of this week’s quote comes a little closer to home than some of us would admit, because most of us are procrastinators! 🙂 Putting off until tomorrow what can and should be done today, is a bad end to the day and gives a surprisingly (if I may even use that word!) limp boost to tomorrow. You know what I’m talking about – just do it!
Quotes are popular, inspiration is popular, and there is certainly a reason for both! Psychology says that just by smiling, you will instantly feel a little better. I’ve even tried it to alleviate pain and it works ways faster than any medication! Inspirational quotes come in somewhere close to the smile. There are sooo many quotes out there, lists and lists of them. Not all of them are awesome, so I thought it’d be great to pick out the best ones and lighten up your heavy daily loads with a weekly quote – the ones that are like gold nuggets of inspiration and cheer!

While today was supposed to be scheduled for another How to Draw episode, I thought it would be fun to interrupt with a sneak peak into what life looks like through my eyes and a “Quote of the Day”!
In addition to being a blogger, artist, singer/songwriter/composer/pianist, and the occasional dabbling with photography, I’m also a farm girl. Yes, I was born and raised on an organic pastured chicken farm. Quite the adventure! Like yesterday morning when I was milking the family cow, and she knocked the milker over and milk started spewing everywhere! 😛 Which brings us to the profound “Quote of the Day” that came to me after this particular incidence. 🙂
I’ve selected 10 semi random photos to share with ya’ll. A picture is worth a thousand words, right?! Continue reading “A Peek into My Life…”
I love encouraging people to step out of their normal little boxes and try something new; expand horizons and discover skills they never knew they had. I myself haven’t tried something new for a little while in art.
So in the last several days, I tried out two things. Not new to me in particular, but things that I was always terrible at when I was younger. I can’t say they turned out stellar, but I was pleased with the outcome and definitely plan to work at them more in the future as time allows.
