The Sunflower Fields {Pictures}

I’ve been long in getting around to sharing these pictures, but late is better than never, right? Sunflowers are so pretty. Kinda western and rustic. I love looking at them and found out I also enjoy taking pictures of them too. 😉 Not far from where I live there are 9 fields of sunflowers. People flock to these places in mid summer to take photos and enjoy the beauties. I visited with two of my brothers one beautiful evening.

Flowers are so fun to photograph. They’re so intricate and delicate. They add beauty all around us with their cheery little faces. Continue reading “The Sunflower Fields {Pictures}”

Anabaptist Orchestra Camp 2017 {Pictures}

Last weekend, I had the privilege of traveling to Elnora, Indiana for the Anabaptist Orchestra Camp (AOC). It was an incredibly inspiring, encouraging, and refreshing weekend both musically and spiritually. I came back a changed person. It was a blessing to see the passion and dedication in each person there at camp. Each person put forth their best for the benefit of others and the glory of God.

Some of the highlights were: listening to a live orchestra all day (seriously, what’s cooler? 😉 ), conversations with some of the wonderful people, good food (Thank you to all the hard working cooks!), funny jokes and stories from the conductors, meeting new people, sitting in the bleachers and analyzing the music (Don’t worry musicians, I wasn’t analyzing who was making all the mistakes… :D). I absolutely love cats. They’re my little buddies that shadow me around. As a fact, I’ve been dubbed “the cat girl” by some people. Continue reading “Kitten Pictures {2017}”

From the Best Day of My Life {Pictures}

Which was the best day of my life? Easter. Yes, Easter of this very year. You can read why here. Actually, that post was written the day before, so I’ll explain a bit more. The reason Easter was so special, was because I had finally given everything up to God and learned who He really is. I could finally celebrate his resurrection with energy and zeal. No pangs from a guilty conscience.  Continue reading “From the Best Day of My Life {Pictures}”

The View From My Kitchen Window

Here lately, it has been feeling like spring in my little corner of Maryland. Fresh mornings, birds singing, geese flying back north, and flowers poking their heads out of the earth accompanied by nice warm weather; all sure signs of spring. In fact, I got tricked into thinking that winter was totally gone and spring had come extremely early this year Continue reading “The View From My Kitchen Window”
