Often times the hardest thing to do is what we don’t want to do (duh!). It’s especially hard when what we need to do is sure to affect normal routine, make waves, or even put a strain on close relationships. Perhaps none of those are your case and you’re even excited about doing whatever it is, but you just can’t bring yourself to do it or find the time. Whatever the “problem”, you’re not alone – let’s figure it out together!
Today we’ll focus on the root problem, prioritizing, and taking action. Grab your prayer or devotional journal and bible, curl up and let’s get into this! If you happened to miss the first Bible study on Confidence, you can check it out here! Continue reading “Cultivating Truth into Everyday Existence | Vibrant Womanhood”

Quotes are popular, inspiration is popular, and there is certainly a reason for both! Psychology says that just by smiling, you will instantly feel a little better. I’ve even tried it to alleviate pain and it works ways faster than any medication! Inspirational quotes come in somewhere close to the smile. There are sooo many quotes out there, lists and lists of them. Not all of them are awesome, so I thought it’d be great to pick out the best ones and lighten up your heavy daily loads with a weekly quote – the ones that are like gold nuggets of inspiration and cheer!

Staying positive and feeling happy from the inside out is something that is hard to come by when we feel bored, lifeless, rejected, passionless, and the list goes on and on. You get the idea. Every day brings it’s craziness and trials and troubles. That’s a taste of life. But we don’t have to live in this zombie-like state. It is totally possible to live a powerful and meaningful life. The greatest joy you can ever have in life, is when Jesus is living in you and his love just wells up within and comes out in the most beautiful ways. Jesus is beautiful and makes you beautiful. He brings healing to the most intimate parts of your soul. That’s why it’s possible to be happy even in the worst circumstances (Believe me, I’ve almost tried it. 😉 ).
With Jesus living within us, we still have “those moments”. We’re human and completely capable of feeling grumpy and sad all over again. Circumstances can be overwhelming and it’s okay to cry. The best way to overcome pain, sadness, boredom or whatever have you, is to remind ourselves of what is the most important thing in life:
We live in freedom from the bondage of sin and death; free to live in the deepest and clearest love imaginable – Jesus’ love. Continue reading “21 Ways to Stay Positive”
It was once said that it took 21 days to form a habit. Soon, that was lifted to 30 days and just recently it was discovered that it actually takes approximately 60 days to form a habit! There are a lot of habits that are easy to form and then stick with us for a very long time. Unfortunately, the easiest ones to form, also seem to be the not-so-good ones; you know, like not getting enough sleep (guilty here!). And… once these have become “normal”, they can be the most stubborn things to uproot.
Sixty days may seem like a long time (I mean, two months!), but in retrospect of an entire lifetime, it’s really quite small. In this post I’ll list 4 major (and very common!) habits that are very easily holding you back, and show you how to nix these habits so you can be well on your way to being the successful and creative person you were meant to be . Continue reading “4 Habits That Are Dragging You Down (And how to turn them into SUCCESS)”
Happy New Year, ya’ll! I’m super excited about 2018. I’m not much for ” new year resolutions” since I always fail them within three days. However this year, I’m doing something a little different. I’ve written down all my goals for 2018. Being able to look at the list as something to work towards rather than to change myself for is a much more inspiring focus! 🙂
2017 has been a great year over all. Yes, each year holds it’s own trials and troubles, but they dim when compared to all that we’ve learned, accomplished, and experienced. While I want to get on with the new year, I thought it’d be great to take a peak at the most loved blog posts of 2017. Which ones made it into the top 10? Check them out below! Continue reading “Top 10 Posts of 2017”
While today was supposed to be scheduled for another How to Draw episode, I thought it would be fun to interrupt with a sneak peak into what life looks like through my eyes and a “Quote of the Day”!
In addition to being a blogger, artist, singer/songwriter/composer/pianist, and the occasional dabbling with photography, I’m also a farm girl. Yes, I was born and raised on an organic pastured chicken farm. Quite the adventure! Like yesterday morning when I was milking the family cow, and she knocked the milker over and milk started spewing everywhere! 😛 Which brings us to the profound “Quote of the Day” that came to me after this particular incidence. 🙂
I’ve selected 10 semi random photos to share with ya’ll. A picture is worth a thousand words, right?! Continue reading “A Peek into My Life…”
This Little Life
This little life,
I live on this earth below,
So often torn and filled with strife.
The rugged cross once stood so tall,
It carried the burden of the world,
For Jesus was dying, dying for all.
Oh such pain he had to bear!
Alone with two thieves,
He bled and died to take away my sin.
And then triumphantly he rose. Continue reading “This Little Life of Mine”
Every artist has a story of how they got where they are. Some are natural prodigies who paint beautiful pictures from age eight. For many of us though, our pasts are marked with more failures than successes. I was convinced that I would never become an artist. I wanted to, but I didn’t “have what it takes” or so I thought. And indeed, I am certainly no prodigy!
I thought it would be fun to share with ya’ll where I come from. Starting when I was about six, I’ll lead you through the years right up to the present. 🙂 Continue reading “The Dust Bin of History: Art Attempts From Before I Became an Artist”
You are not alone. Sometimes it may feel that way, but I will always be there to forgive, comfort, and heal you. It breaks my heart to see your pain, but I can’t take it away until you give it up. As long as you hold onto your heart, your life will be out of control. If you trust your life to me, your life will become a beautiful work of love; woven perfectly by my hands.
I have seen your fear; your worry that you will miss open doors or open ones that aren’t meant for you. Leave that to me. All the doors that aren’t for you, are firmly locked and bolted. My timing is perfect. You will not accidentally mess up my will for you.
I give you the choice to hand the key of your heart to me. I promise to always protect and cherish you. In me, you will always find the love you long for. In me, there is always true peace and freedom.
Your Heavenly Father
