What?? Me doing a vlog? Yup. Okay, it’s my first published one, so bear with me. 🙂 I had fun doing it and I hope ya’ll enjoy it, too.
I recently attended the Anabaptist Orchestra Camp as a “non-participating member” (i.e. I didn’t play in the orchestra). I enjoyed it thoroughly and came away very inspired. You can check out my photography post of the weekend here where I describe a lot more about the weekend! For now, let’s get on with the video:
I had never been to Delaware. Nor did I think I would ever want to. I don’t know why I felt this way, but I had a certain distaste for the state. But since I’m a person who loves new sights, I decided that it would be okay to travel down along the Delaware Bay on the way home from a recent trip (which you can also read about here and here).
We stopped at a pullover along a gravel road that ran alongside the water front close to the mouth of the bay. Several large piers extended out into the water, and would have provided an excellent place to take photos from, but due to my uneasiness of heights and the moving water below, I quickly decided I would do better with ground shots. So, I took shots of the piers themselves which, actually are an icon of waterfronts, and bring up nostalgic feelings for me.
So I ended up enjoying Delaware after all!! And though I still like Maryland better, I think it’s a beautiful state. 🙂
Traveling… one of my favorite things. If I were able to fly at least three times a year, it would be perfect. But I can only dream of that. In the mean time of waiting for that elusive, dreamy future, I enjoy doing some on the ground travel to closer destinations.
My most recent adventure was a nice fall vacation to Philadelphia, Longwood Gardens, and the Eastern Shore with my amazing parents and sister in tow (Okay, I gotta give most of the planning credits to my sis… 😉 )
I don’t get much opportunity to photograph cityscapes, so I jumped on the chance. Unfortunately, most of the time I was shooting through the dirty van window which resulted in a lot of blurred or specked photos. 😦 Oh well! I was still able to capture some that I was pleased with.
(A note: I will be posting a lot more photos from Longwood gardens and the Eastern Shore, so stay tuned!)
I love photography. Even though I don’t normally think of myself as “A Photographer” (in a more dramatic sense), I enjoy being able to save some of the special moments of life. Big or small, normal or crazy. A trip out to Kansas this summer, served as a great way to not only see some of my extended family, but also to fulfill some of my photography cravings.
I decided to share seven of my favorites with you. So, read on. Which are your favorites?
Out the airplane window.
An airplane wing in the vivid late July sky.
An adorable little girly I was privileged to photograph…
…And another little princess (that grin tho!).
Ahhh… Kansas! Note the very straight roads.
And last but not least, horses grazing peacefully.
So there’s a snippet of my favorites, which one is your favorite? or perhaps you have several. I’d love to hear!
